MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY:
As I’ve been getting back into the swing of things this summer (swipe to see my arm workout footage), I thought I should explain how I approach personal training. I think that it’s important to be educated, compassionate, and honest. Here’s how I train people:
1) Take the time to get to know you. It’s hard to work with someone “personally” without knowing anything about them.
2) Figure out what your real goals are. Not “get in better shape”, or “tone up/get big”, but more specific answers like “lose 10 lbs of fat”, or “work out 4 days a week consistently”. Sometimes you might think you know your goals until someone asks you to think critically.
3) Create a plan to reach your goals. Workout programming, meal plans, macros/calories, lifestyle changes. These all fall into this step.
4) Execute the plan! Weekly check-ins, questions during the week, and plan adjustments are all part of reaching your goals.
